I Squared to buy Liberty Tire from ECP in $1.5bn push into circular economy assets
I Squared Capital is set to acquire Liberty Tire Recycling from Energy Capital Partners (ECP) in a deal valued at around $1.5bn, including debt, according to sources familiar with the matter.
The agreement, expected to be announced shortly, will mark one of the largest recent private equity transactions in the North American recycling sector.
