I Squared and US development finance arm form $3bn Indo-Pacific energy platform
I Squared Capital is teaming up with the US International Development Finance Corporation to build a $3bn platform for critical energy infrastructure across South and Southeast Asia.
Under the plan, I Squared-managed vehicles will commit $1.5bn and the DFC a further $1.5bn, in what the US agency describes as its largest single investment in a project to date.
The platform is built around energy security and connectivity. It aims to deepen energy ties between the US and the Indo-Pacific, including wider access to American liquefied natural gas and related exports, by expanding LNG and petroleum import, storage, and transport infrastructure across the region.
